ANDRE THE BUTCHER – April 25th

The fact that this movie features the biggest porn star to ever grace the planet as the main title killer should be making you jump up for joy… I know I am. Yes, Ron Jeremy stars as Andre in this little indie that could, and after all the hype we’ll finally be able to own part of the action as it makes it’s way to DVD. You don’t even have to visit the backroom for this one.

If you’re HELLRAISER collection is lacking because Part III hasn’t been released yet, then today’s your lucky day- Paramount decided to hook you up this summer with a DVD edition. That has no features. With no ‘Unrated’ edition in site. Ok. So maybe your day isn’t so lucky…

    SWEET INSANITY – June 27th

Don’t you hate it when you make a new friend, only to find out that they’re obsessed with you and they end up killing everyone you know. Happens to me all the time. Promising to be more than just a slasher flick, SWEET INSANITY is really SINGLE WHITE FEMALE: THE TEENAGE YEARS with a Goth-like twist. Any DVD that’s Unrated and includes deleted scenes can’t be all that bad… not to mention the potential for some gratuitous nudity making this one the cure for your early summer blues.

    The Goods:

  • Commentary by director Daniel Hess
  • Deleted scenes
  • Production stills
  • Trailers

THE INCREDIBLE HULK: THE COMPLETE FIRST SEASON – July 18th

If you missed your chance to buy the entire series on DVD a few years back, then you’ve stuck gold with this new release of the first season. Who knew you could do so much with green make-up, a green wig and a body builder? They don’t make shows like this anymore… of course, that could be a good thing. For all those who like to smash, we salute you!

    The Goods:

  • Presented in 1.33:1 full frame
  • English Dolby Digital 2.0 Mono tracks
  • Both pilot Telefilms
  • 10 regular weekly episodes
  • Bonus episode “Stop the Presses” from Season Two
  • Commentary track on the first Telefilm
  • A Lou Ferrigno Introduction

  • Honorable Mentions:

SATAN’S SCHOOLGIRLS – Just Released – Because the title kicks ass, and it promises to feature lots of T and lots of A. What more do you need?

EVILS OF THE NIGHT – April 28th – Because this 1985 classic’s synopsis reads like this:Sex-hungry teens are kidnapped by auto mechanics, who take them to a rural hospital run by aliens who need their blood as the key to their own longevity. Yeah. Nuff said.
