MTV talked with Frank Miller today, the mind behind SIN CITY, and he had lots to say about what we can expect from SIN CITY 2! Ok, not lots, but he had something to say, and anything at this point is very much welcomed.
Mostly he talked about some of the stories that we might expect to see in PART 2, including “Blue Eyes”, which set up the story for both “The Hard Goodbye” and “The Big Fat Kill”. And while many of the characters died at some point or another in the first film, all the characters are scheduled to be back, as Miller points out: “It jumps around a bit, but mostly it’s one story, incorporating some short stories that weave in and out of that.”
He also went on about a few other upcoming projects, including the adaptation of 300 from director Zack Snyder (DAWN OF THE DEAD 04), and why all of his adaptations from here on out will be directed by him (besides SIN CITY 2 of course).
I’m glad to know that Mickey Rourke’s badass portrayal of Marv will be returning for the sequel, along with all the other characters that we fell in love with and hated from the first one. To check out the whole interview, go ahead and click HERE. SIN CITY 2 begins filming this June in Texas.
