And here I thought we’d seen it all. There’s been killer rabbits,klller sheep, killer chickens, killer dogs, killer cats, killer rats, killer birds and even killer cows. And now, thanks to Calvin Weaver of Weaver Films, we have… killer squirrels!
And yes, it’s just as ridiculous as it sounds. First off, the movie’s called THE EVIL SQUIRREL OF DOOM!, so right there you know it’s gonna be a good time, as it rocks one of the best titles of the year so far. Then you have the synopsis, as it was explained to Fangoria:“a horror/comedy about a teenaged girl named Sandra who invites her friends over to party for the weekend while her parents are away. Their party soon turns into a struggle for survival when Sandra finds out that her pet squirrel Rabies is a serial killer!”
And no, this isn’t some sort of early April Fool’s joke, this is the real deal Holyfield. Set to start filming this June, SQUIRREL has already cast both Riley Dodds and Scott Woodto star. For more updated info. as they update it on the official site, click HERE, though be warned, there’s barely anything there at the moment. I for one am all about challenging the stereotypes of our furry friends of the forest. This has to be based on some truth- not all squirrels are created good, and this just happens to be one of their stories. Good shit.
