How’s this for a quick production? yesterday SpikeTV sent us a Press Release to let us know that their new BLADE: THE SERIES started production in Vancouver. Today, thanks to Kung Fu Rodeo, the trailer for the show was unveiled. Pretty much the fastest production in history folks!

So they were a tad behind with that PR, but no bother- the trailer’s up, and it looks… well, it pretty much looks like you would imagine an action/sci-fi/horror/comic TV series would look- kind of cheap, lots of action and so-so acting. Does it look bad? No, it actually looks entertaining as hell! Does it look good? Let’s just say, they’re not trying to out-do the trilogy with this series.

Click HERE to check out the trailer in all it’s Quicktime glory. Say what you will, but while Sticky Fingaz definitely has ‘the look’ of Blade, he’s missing that cold yet humorous edge crazy-ass Wesley Snipes gave to the role- and I miss it here! Not to say that Finaz doesn’t try… and that’s the problem. Oh well. It is a series based on a movie trilogy based on a comic book, so what can you do, right?

Spit some bullets and let us know what you think about the trailer below and look for BADE: THE SERIES on Spike TV June 28th.
