Black Steele Creature

It seems like just the other day we heard about Universal’s new plan to remake THE WOLF MAN. Oh wait, it was just the other day. No bother, as today The Horror Channel scored news about another classic Universal monster remake- THE CREATURE FROM THE BLACK LAGOON.

According to HC, Brian Steele, know for his roles under tons of make-up in BLADE: TRINITY, DOOM and both UNDERWORLD flicks has been cast as the Creature from that ill-fated black lagoon. With a credit sheet like that, no wonder they chose him as the dreaded Creature!

The remake is being directed by Brek Eisner, who also directed the adventure flick SAHARA. My guess, they’re not looking to scare anyone, but more likely looking to beat us over the head with camp. What do you think?
