Gore of Hatchet

Fangoria scored a bloody new look at the upcoming Kane Hodder splatterfest HATCHET today, which brings me ready blow up in anticipation for this flick to finally make it’s way in theaters! What’s the deal? Why the wait?

Written and directed by Adam Green, the flick follows the tale of killer/legend Victor Crowley (Hodder, in his element), followed by lots of murder and mahem. Yes, just what you wanted to hear- a slasher flick starring da man himself. Judging from the above pic, at least we can expect it to be bloody!

So why hasn’t this flick come out yet? Here’s how Green puts it: “I wish I had some kind of really cool answer I could tell you, like how the film was stolen by terrorists or being held as FBI evidence in a real swamp murder crime…but the truth is that we’re really just now gearing up to start showing HATCHET to possible distributors and audiences…”

Well, at least they’re not rushing it- they’re producing something they feel good about, and hopefully it will pay off with a sweet theatrical distribution! Be sure to hit up the flick’s OFFICIAL SITE, and to hear more about what Green had to say HERE (as well as the rest of this bloody-ass pic!).
