We recently got some NEWS and a couple
of RARE PICS from Marc Trottier’s DARKNESS.
Here’s the scoop! Written,
directed, produced and co-edited by Marc Trottier, who also plays the
starring role of “Cody”, DARKNESS was originally 2 short films. DARKNESS #1 was
influenced by the FRIDAY THE 13th movies, and DARKNESS # 2 was influenced
by SCREAM.
Additional footage was recently
shot and both shorts will be
blended together to create one feature-length (about 75 minutes long) horror
thriller. The flick was shot sporadically over a period of 6 years in result, it
will have taken about 2 years to finish it. Here’s what its about!

Synopsis:
The
story begins with a group of people being stalked by a killer who escaped from
the local mental institution. After the events, Cody (Trottier) ends up spending
a year in the institute himself. Upon his release, he returns to the secluded
summer house where his two friends were killed, and remembers the night when his
never ending nightmare began.
A party is thrown to celebrate his return to
civilization. Since his parents are away, the high school kids are free to run
wild and get into trouble. Just as Cody thinks his life is returning to normal,
the people closest to him begin to disappear. The race is on to find out who is
responsible for the killings. But is it too late? Or is Cody in fact the killer
himself?

The music in the film was done by
brothers Sacha (who also plays Isaac in the film) and Youri Pommepuy
(who also acted as DOP) and the movie stars
Marc Trottier (who you’ve
seen him in DECOYS), Morgan Kelly (who is now on TV’s Falcon Beach), Randy Thomas (Toe Blake in the Maurice Richard movie), Maria
Bertrand and Stefan Pommepuy. Look out for an Official Site and a trailer
