A few years back Eli Roth spattered on the scene with the awesomely graphic and campy horror flick CABIN FEVER, and next week he comes back with HOSTEL, which is aiming to kick equal, if not more, ass.
Roth chatted it up with About.com this week, and dropped a few interesting tidbits, including what’s the deal with the possbile CABIN FEVER 2. Check it:
I pitched them an idea for Cabin Fever 2. I turned in a 10-page treatment and they didn’t want to do it. That’s when I dropped out of the project. I said, “You know what? You guys do your own thing. Best of luck.” And I mean that sincerely. If they feel they can do it better, then I’m curious. I’ll be excited to see it…
Dang. FEVER without Roth probably will just end up being straight to video crap. Oh well, like he said, if they can do it better, then I’m all down for it. But what about a sequel to HOSTEL?
Quentin and I were talking about some stuff and we have something really cool that I think could be a really good sequel for this actually.
Whoa- cool stuff! Though I haven’t seen HOSTEL, everything I’ve heard points to awesome- so bring on the sequel! Obviously they’ll have to wait to see if it makes any moola, but if it does- you know the sequel will quickly be on the horizon!
