MTV has the first look at the Hillary Swank’s all new dip into horror THE REAPING, which is currently filming in the tragic flooding aftermath of Louisiana. Not only are there cool photos (like this one), but there are some exclusive behind the scenes videos!

The fact that MTV has the exclusive first look at this pic makes me say hmmmm: it either means it’s gonna cool, or it means it’s gonna be teeny boppy horseshit. We’ll see, but so far, this puppy looks like it’s gonna be pretty dang cool. And the fact that Swank’s going to be stretching her jaw muscles screaming seems like a perfect match- why haven’t we seen her in horror before?

So what’s so dang cool about it? Biiblical plagues. The flick follows Swanks charactor as she chases down some strange happenings that appear to be the plagues from the bible. Like frogs falling from the sky ala MAGNOLIA, plagues of locusts filling the air, and of course the apocalyptic dead cow in the middle of Walmart. Yeah. No joke.

Directed by Stephen Hopkins (NOES 5), THE REAPING is looking to hit theaters later next year. To check out the whole set vist, including behind the scene clips of Swank and co-star David Morrissey, go ahead and click HERE.
