Awhile back our very own Arrow scored a peak at the new SAMHAIN poster, which was retitled EVIL BREED: THE LEGEND OF SAMHAIN by Lionds Gate Films, at the 2005 AFM. Incidently enough, he spied this discovery with the film’s director Christian Viel (click HERE to see his reaction).
Today Fangoria has the Official DVD coverart for the film, which will be splattering into rental shops January 10th. While it’s only being released in an R rated format (…what, no Unrated Special Edition?), the deleted scenes feature has a few scenes of some nasty sounding carnage (like the sweet death of porn star Jenna Jameson).
Could this be the end of unrated versions hitting DVD? Mostly like, no. Let’s face it, most people have no idea that this movie was made like 4 years ago, or have a clue that it’s coming out next month, so why release two versions? The fact that they at least let you check out the gorey deleted scenes is good enough for me at this point- at least it’s coming out!
