Looks like the PREDATOR remake rumors were a little premature. At least the casting rumors were. Last week it started circulating around the net that WWE wrestler John Cena had been tapped to take over the role of Schwarzenegger’s Dutch in a new version of that invisible alien hunter madness.
Fortunately, while it’s impossible to say for sure that some studio exec somewhere isn’t toying with the idea, one of our loyal readers has pointed out that any hard evidence has been reputed by John Cena himself over at the WWE website. In 5 Questions with John Cena he answers viewer emails and the third question is about the remake (around the 5 minute mark).
The answer – He has not been approached about it and has heard nothing about it except from internet folks chasing down the rumor. He seems like a funny guy though, so here’s hoping he gets some cool opportunities. Check out the video here. Then we can all take a collective sigh of relief.
