Reaping an Extra

reported today that production on Dark Castle’s upcoming horror flick THE REAPING will start August 1st in Baton Rouge, LA.

The movie, starring Oscar winner Hilary Swank, is about a myth debunker who travels to a small, religious town in Texas to investigate occurrences that appear to be the 10 Biblical plagues.

If you’re lucky enough live in the area, you can use this weekend as an opportunity to be an extra in the flick. Check this out:

Three casting calls will be held to hire extras to take part in the filming. The first is this weekend, Saturday, July 16th, from 10 a-m to 2 p-m at the Best Western, St. Francis Hotel on the Lake in St. Francisville.

The second call is on Saturday, July 23rd, at the Cortana Mall (JC Penney Plaza) in Baton Rouge and the third is on Saturday, July 30th, at the University of Phoenix Building in Baton Rouge.

All applicants should bring a non-returnable photograph of themselves. Anyone six-years-old and up are welcome to apply.
