Evolution Pushed Back

January must be the next October. As it is, studios have been pushing some horror flicks from their regular schedules to the dreaded release month of January. James Gunn’s SLITHER was pushed back last week, and now it’s UNDERWORLD: EVOLUTION looking to make a killing this January.

Sony moved EVOLUTION from it’s original December 2nd to January 20th, which is a little frightening- as if they don’t stand by their product. Maybe they need more time… eh, maybe they’d rather make money this Christmas. A little odd though, as the original seemed to come out around the holidays a few years back.

Since there’s plenty of time to prepare for EVOLUTION, here’s the synopsis to get excited about:

The film traces the beginnings of the ancient feud between the two tribes as Selene (Kate Beckinsale), the beautiful vampire heroine, and Michael (Scott Speedman), the lycan hybrid, try to unlock the secrets of their bloodlines. The fast-paced, modern-day tale of deadly action, ruthless intrigue and forbidden love takes them into the battle to end all wars as the immortals must finally face their retribution.

Ah yeah. Bring it! January 20th….
