I know I wasn’t the only the one who was miffed when actor Kane Hodder wasn’t Jason in FREDDY VS JASON, as well as a little baffled. I mean, why the hell not? Hodder is awesome as Jason, why fix what’s not broken?
Hodder recently sat down with Fangoria while promoting his latest dip in horror (HATCHET), and talked a bit of what he feels about not being able to play Jason anymore.
Yeah, I guess I’ve made peace with the idea. For the most part, anyway. It’s always going to be a sore spot with me. After all, it was none of my doing that I don’t play Jason anymore. It’s sad, because I loved playing the character. The fact that the decision was made not to use me without actually involving me at all, I’ll probably always feel pretty insulted by it.
I would too man, you totally got the shaft! Not saying that who they chose to play Jason sucked, but nobody has played Jason like Kane Hodder. Nobody.
