For the love of God and all that is holy, why? It’s practically official: a seque to ALIEN VS PREDATOR is going to happen. No need to wipe that hangover from your eyes, you heard me right: AVP 2 is a go!
Straight from the horses mouth at this years Saturn Awards, 20th Century Fox chairman Tom Rothman told SciFi Wire that the sequel to one of the biggest disapointments in 2004 is going to happen.
“We will do another one of those for sure. It was a big success. In the new Alien vs. Predator they will finally actually really come to our world. It’s likely that we will bridge the gap, and the beginning of that will be setting it in our contemporary universe.”
So they’re going the PREDATOR 2 route on this one? Like that hasn’t been done before? I must admit, having the battle in a city, versus in Antartica is definately a plus… but the fact that it’s going to suck doesn’t make me happy.
If Paul W.S. Anderson decides he’d rather do another RESIDENT EVIL or something, then I think it has potential to really kick ass, and be the VERSUS we need it to be. And if we all think happy thoughts, then maybe, just maybe that will happen. And monkey’s might fly out of my butt.
