It’s that time of year again, when we forget about award shows like the Oscars and the Golden Globes, and pay more attention to the award shows that really matter… like The MTV Movie Awards!
MTV arguably has the best categories for awards, from Best Fight to Best Action Sequence… and this year’s Best Frightened Performance! Yeah to horror- the only category to get any nods towards horror this year. The nominees are:
BEST FRIGHTENED PERFORMANCE
Cary Elwes — Saw (Lions Gate Films)
Sarah Michelle Gellar — The Grudge (Sony Pictures)
Jennifer Tilly — Seed of Chucky (Focus Features)
Mya — Cursed (Miramax Films)
Dakota Fanning — Hide and Seek (20th Century Fox)
How CURSED can get nominated for anything besides Shittiest Movie of the Year is beyond me… but props to Cary Elwes and Sarah Michelle Gellar though- some very deserved performances on their part.
