Dante on Greenlight

If you’ve been keeping up with Bravo’s PROJECT GREENLIGHT this season, you’ll know that it’s actually more painful to watch than entertaining. If it’s not the crew clashing with director John Gulager for every decision he makes, it’s the cast bitching and moaning, with only his salty dad there to stick up for him.

In fact, watching the making of FEAST makes me really think twice about making a horror movie (I mean, afterall, it sounds like the sweetest gig imaginable, right?). But here I thought I was the only one…

Creature Corner has also been in horror over the show, along with one of their readers… director Dante Tomaselli! Yes, the man who’s brought us DESECRATION, and the upcoming SATAN’S PLAYGROUND is a little in horror himself at the show, and doesn’t blink twice about telling everyone how he feels. Here’s a bit of what he had to say:

I must admit, I am glued to the tube when it’s on. I’m riveted! The show is entertaining and I’m sure it will continue. Mainly, I feel so sorry for poor John Gulager. It seems he was exploited in the name of reality TV – reality.

Yes, Gulager seems to really get the shaft on this deal, as he’s not really ‘directing’ the movie, as much as he’s the crew’s punching bag, making the movie the AD, the producer, and the director of photography want him to make. It just ain’t right…. And yet, I can’t stop watching! Damn reality TV, damn it all to hell!!!
