What do you do if you’ve kicked ass with a secret group of hot chicks,
and busted some samurai ninja skills before getting your skull sliced
off? You star in a horror movie of course!
got a heads up from a reader (so keep in mind, this
ain’t official yet) that the lovely Lucy Liu is in talks to star in Sam
Raimi’s Ghost House Pictures fright flick RISE.
Liu would be playing a reported who mysteriously wakes up one day in a
morgue- to realize that she’s actually dead. Pissed about being knocked
off, she vows to avenge her death by hunting down her killers.
It’s a dope premise, very reminiscent of Mark Goldblatt’s 1988
zombie/buddy/cop movie DEAD HEAT- where zombified detective Treat Williams vows
to hunt down the person who killed him. Yeah, it’s pretty frickin’
sweet.
We’ll be keeping our eyes peeled and our ears to the ground to either
confirm, or dissolve this casting rumor- I think it’d be a great choice
for Liu, who has that knack for looking good while getting some sweet
revenge.
