If you’ve been asking yourself “I miss the days of old-school creature features…”, then prepare to jump up and down. William Winckler just finished photography on his epic FRANKENSTEIN VS. THE CREATURE FROM BLOOD COVE.
What the hell is that, you say? In a remote laboratory near the California coast,
Frankenstein’s monster has been resurrected in a misguided attempt to use his colossal strength for good. As part of the same diabolical experiment, a half-human amphibian abomination has also been unleashed. Both
creatures are determined to destroy one another, wreaking havoc throughout the
isolated coastal community.
Sounds a lot like FRANKENSTEIN VS GODZILLA. Pretty cool project, as they’re trying to recreate the ‘creature features’ of yesteryear- filmed entirely in black & white for that old-school feel. Winckler describes the project as “a straightforward film combining classic-style creatures with Atomic Age monsters. The
closer we’re getting to completion, the happier I am with the production. There’s
no question that ‘creature feature’ fans are going to love it!”
It certainly sounds fun! It stars Larry Butlet (EVIL IS ALIVE), Alison Lees-Taylor (ICEBREAKER), Mimma Mariucci (THE DRY SPELL), as well as Butch Patrick (THE MUNSTERS), Troma Films’ Lloyd Kaufman, Playboy model Carla Harvey, and Cyberspace Adult Video Review (CAVR) Starlet of the Year Selena Silver (hell’s yeah!).
Seeing as it’s from the same folks who brough us THE DOUBLE-D AVENGER, I’m sure we’re in store for a fun, campy, crazy-wild ride! FRANKENSTEIN VS THE CREATURE FROM BLOOD COVE is set to be released later this year.
