Got some good news earlier this week from the boys over at Movies Online, as they had a chance to chat with Flash Animator James Farr regarding the announcement that Farr’s XOMBIE series is going to be made into a full length Hollywood animated movie!
If you head on over to XOMBIE’s Official Website, you can see all 5 Chapter’s in the mega-popular XOMBIE flash-animated series (check em’ out- they’re sweet!). Cartoons of this nature are awesome, and the fact it’s going to get the Hollywood treatment is even better- considering the millions upon millions fan-base it already has.
Here’s a little glimpse of creator Farr had to say:
Q: What’s the movie about?
A: The movie itself will take us from Chapter 1 through 10 in a single, 70 minute stroke of awesome – covering all of the story you know – and more of the story you don’t.
Q: Will the story be the same as it is in the web episodes?
A: Another yes and no. If the movie is the complete story, the web episodes are the Cliff’s Notes – or highlights. The movie will show you everything! It will also fill in all the plot holes, answer all (well, most of) the nagging questions, and make for a much more satisfying story overall.
Q: Will there be more fighting?
A: Definitely YES! Wetsand Animation and I will be working to amp up the action considerably. Furthermore, the fights you’ve already seen have been retooled, and the scope enhanced in light of the film. Zombies will be severely mangled in the making of this motion picture.
That just makes me all warm and fuzzy inside. What better new realm to introduce Zombies to the mainstream than animation? And not just a series, but a movie! I can hardly contain myself! This shit’s gonna be super sweet!
