Julian’s Silent Cry

Funny how the success of one flick can lead to the vault getting opened on some past projects. So goes the saga of Julian Richards’ (THE LAST HORROR MOVIE) 2002 film SILENT CRY. It’s finally getting a UK premiere on Channel 5, Friday March 11th at 9pm. Congrats Julian!

While not strictly genre work, the flick does have a promising premise following the terror of a new mother who is told her baby died, but begins to suspect the child was instead kidnapped. With the help of a reluctant hospital porter, she has to make her way through the seedier side of London in search of her baby…all while being pursued by a menacing policeman with a horrific agenda.

Damn! I wish I got BBC. Sure it’s not going to be an out and out creep fest, but it sounds like one messed up ride nonetheless. And with a promising talent like Richards at the helm, how can ya not be psyched?
