Dark Date

Well, it’s official: the battle truly begins August 12th. Today DARK WATER has announced it’s release date to be August 12th, sharing the date with Rob Zombie’s THE DEVIL’S REJECTS, and Kate Hudson’s THE SKELETON KEY.

I can’t remeber one weekend having so much horror slated to hit theaters- especially in the summer! WATER also looks to be rated PG-13, following THE GRUDGE and THE RING’s style of scares, without the language or the gore.

Tough to say who will survive this three way battle, but my money’s on DARK WATER. All the kiddies are gonna be able to get in the theater (unlike REJECTS), and the masses who flocked to THE RING, THE RING TWO and THE GRUDGE are going to want more. Oh, and Jennifer Connelly’s frickin’ HOT!

Time will tell. They might change the date’s on us, and there will no longer be a battle at all. It makes me damn excited for August though, with THE CAVE and the video game adaptation of DOOM also exploding on the screen.
