I’m a huge PUNISHER fan (the Ennis comics in particular
and am having a blast with the video game now of late).
Movie wise, I loved the
Lundgren version
(all they needed was the skull shirt & the New York
setting, minus the Yakusa and that
wino) . As for the
2004 version, it grew on me over time (mostly due to Tom Jane owning
and the excellent score).
Having said that, I’m still holding my breath for somebody to do it 100% right
and the planned PUNISHER 2 might be just that.
Ain’t-It-Cool-News recently
reported a few words of hope that actor TOM JANE bomb dropped at the
Dallas Comic Con Convention:

The moderator asked Thomas Jane about there being
rumors of a possible Punisher 2. Thomas’ response was….."Oh, is that still
just a rumor?"
Jane let the cat out of the bag
and told the room that yesterday at a studio in north Dallas , they filmed the
teaser for Punisher 2
ARROW NOTE: I heard its a promotional teaser in the name of getting the flick
off the ground; not one meant for mass consumption…just yet (maybe on the DVD
or online someday)
-Jane said that while the script is not finished, he
is working closely with the team. He said that he is doing EVERYTHING he can
do, to get the setting moved to the boroughs of New York and that Jigsaw is
“more than likely” going to be the villain in the movie.

JANE, TIM BRADSTREET and Punisher cover model TOM O BRIEN
also went about a photo shoot in Dallas. Jane sent the

I’m all for a PUNISHER 2, but for the love of Castle, jack up the
action and keep the kooky neighbors, the fire hydrant and Tampa Florida out of
there!
