Wan Hacksawed

The folks over at Movies Online got word today that James Wan, director of SAW, will not be returning as director for SAW 2: HACKSAW.

Instead Wan will be producing the flick, which is scheduled to hit theaters this October. No word on a writer yet either, as Alex Garland of 28 DAYS LATER was rumored as being so a few months back- a rumor that has proven to be false.

I loved SAW, but the fact that it still doesn’t have a writer, director, or cast has me a little worried… especially with the release date only 8 months away! I know, I know, I’m sure they’ll pull it off- but will it feel rushed? Will it be just a money makin’ concept and nothing full on horror? Will it be PG-13??? I sure as hell hope not…
