And now for the dumbest shite I’ve heard all week: Universal Home Entertainment is no longer releasing the UnRated version of SEED OF CHUCKY (see The Arrow’s Review Here).
Instead, they plan on just releasing the R rated version… Why? Oh, no reason. At least, they didn’t give us one. Those punk asses! I for one liked the movie, plenty of gore to go around, but dang! The fact that there’s even more out there… and they told us and teased us by telling us we’d get to see it… to just take it away. Damn, now I just feel like I’m missing something so much better. Get a good look at the cover… it’s the only time you’re gonna see it.
Can I justifiably buy the R Rated DVD now that I know an UnRated version’s out there just waiting to be released? Nope. Not in a million years. If this was some dumb ploy to make more money, I sure hope someone at Universal just got fired- cause that’s the stupidest thing I’ve ever heard.
For those of you that actually give a shit at this point, the DVD will include Commentary by director Don Mancini and Jennifer Tilly, a slide show of the family from hell on vacation around the world called Family Helliday Slide Show, making of Featurettes, Tilly’s video diary that aired on THE TONIGHT SHOW and a FUZION UP CLOSE interview with both Chucky and Tiffany. Bleh. R rated only DVD hits shelves April 12th.
