They say there’s an exception that proves every rule, and I have to admit that the upcoming BOOGEYMAN may be that bitter pill. Everything about the flick, from the website, to the intense trailer, hell even the WB lead look like legitimate genre gold so far. And now we’ve got a few new images (seem to be screen caps) from the flick for you which continue the delicious madness. But it’s got that damn PG-13 tag. I can’t get the two to play together in my mind!
Basically I’m forced to find a way to balance my genre-loving heart’s excitement about the project with all of the terrible things that can go wrong in a PG-13 horror film.
So to you, BOOGEYMAN, I say, nothing you’ve shown us so far looks like the sell-out piece of crap that we’ve come to expect from PG-13 genre fare. I give you props for that. You look intent on delivering a truly kick ass nightmare. I’m starting to believe in you, so…don’t break my heart motherf*cker…don’t break my heart!
