If you thought this was going to be about a movie based on the John Cougar Mellancamp song… you’re wrong. It has come to our attention that Peter Stanley-Ward (of FREAK OUT fame) is working on a horror project of his own entitled SMALLTOWN FOLK.
Written, Directed, Produced and Edited by Ward, and starring Chris Wright (as The Landlord, belolw) and Dan Palmer (as Dobbin, the inbred right-hand retard to the right) who both starred in FREAK OUT. Described as a horror/adventure… STRAW DOGS

Check out the official website for the flick HERE, and oogle over all the cool pics, and the slick look it’s gonna have. Pretty frickin’ sweet, especially considering the whole thing’s currently being filmed on digital, with a budget that… well, that’s so small, you can’t even see it.
As FOLK stars those same crazy guys from the smash hit FREAK OUT, I can already tell it’s gonna rock, and hopefully scare the pants off us (or at least bust a gut from laughing).
Be sure to check out FREAK OUT on DVD, as it just got picked up for distribution by Anchor Bay Entertainment. And stay tuned here for more updates on the status of SMALLTOWN FOLK, as it’s supposed to be wrapping up sometime this summer.
