2005 will be bringing more than just a buttload of horror flicks to the cineplexes, but to the DVD shelves as well. MTI Home Video announced a few of their upcoming releases that sound fun, and worth a rental- if just to fulfill your horror curiousity.
First up is Mark Tuit’s SUBHUMAN, hitting the rental store near you April 19th. This flick stars Bryce McLaughlin, Courtney Kramer and William McDonald, and is about a couple who accidently hit a guy crossing the road in the middle of nowhere. Feeling bad, they take him home, and find out he’s a lunatic… and then he tells them that he’s hunting human parasites… Sounds like it coule be kind of cool, and striving to take the hit-n-run theme to another level.
A few months later, on June 7th, ICE QUEEN will be released, from director Neil Kinsella. This flick stars Ami Veevers-Chorlton, Harmon Walsh, Noelle Reno and Jennifer Hill, and is about a frozen chick from the Ice Age who comes to life after the plane that’s transporting her out of the Amazon jungle crashes into a snowy mountain. Once awake, she does what any ordinary 2 million year old would do- goes on a kiling spree! Plenty of death and destruction here, with little of that minor thing called logic… oh well, sounds fun anyway!
