There are a few directors out there who put new meaning to the phrase ‘Entertaining Trash’. Renny Harlin, helmer to DEEP BLUE SEA, CLIFFHANGER, and recently THE EXCORIST: THE BEGINNING, has made a career of entertaining us with shite (I myself own a ‘Renny Harlin Collection’ in my DVD section).
Variety reported today that Harlin has been signed to direct FULL MOON FEVER, about a team of workers in the future who venture off to repair a deserted facility on the dark side of the moon. And while they’re at it, they’re attacked by a savage pack of werewolves!
The flick is based on the upcoming graphic novel by Adria Askarieh and Daniel Alter, and will be written by Joe Casey, who’s had experience writing Superman and X-Men comic books.
DOG SOLDIERS + ARMAGEDDON + Renny Harlin = Good Times! The project sounds great to me, and what better way to spend 2 hours than a ride like that? No word yet on who’ll star, nor has there been a studio to pick it up yet… and I stress yet…
