Conjure Up Busch

In the interest of cheering when people in the business fight their way up the food chain, I’ll post a preliminary poster and logline for Matt Busch’s CONJURE. Busch, an illustrator, has worked on production art and merchandise for films like THE CROW, THE MATRIX, and THE MUMMY.

His first feature as director (and writer/producer/star) involves Busch becoming obsessed with a photo of a South American castle, which he recreates in a full-color painting. He also draws a series of tortured souls whom he imagines to inhabit the place, but the spirits begin coming to life in the real world, and ultimately he and Sarah Wilkinson (model/girlfriend) find themselves whisked into the actual castle, beset by supernatural forces.

Gotta say it’s a concept that has a lot of promise. Now if only he’d do something about that poster.
