Submitting scripts on-line has finally paid off for Marcus Dunston and Patrick Metlon, as their script FEAST has started filming this week in LA for Dimension Films. The script was the winner of the latest Project Greenlight contest that good ol’ boys Matt Damon and Ben Affleck originated a few years back. Directed by newcomer John Gulager, this monster movie stars Krista Allen (PAYCHECK), Balthazar Getty (LOST HIGHWAY), Navi Rawat (ANGEL), Josh Zuckerman (THE NIGHTMARE ROOM), Eileen Ryan (EIGHT LEGGED FREAKS), Henry Rollins and Anthony Criss (EL CHUPACABRA). Damon, Affleck, Chris Moore and Wes Craven are all on board to produce.
I’m happy to see that a horror flick is the next Greenlight project- about time they give us something we actually to see, not just some artsy fartsy crap- and the story for this bad boy sounds phat- a bar in the middle of nowhere falls under attack by flesheating creatures from the gates of hell. Not just your ordinary creatures either, these little bastards can too! I’m giddy just thinking about it! FROM DUSK TIL DAWN pops into my head here, but done right, it could easily set itself apart. I mean, look at the cast! Krista Allen (pictured) is totally hot, and Henry Rollins, one of my favorite rocker/actors, is there too, in all his badass glory. FEAST is scheduled in theaters this spring.
