Creepy Crawlers Consume Cowardly Cads and Craven…uh, gals. Didn’t think I was going to go THERE did you? Jonathan Liebesman (Darkness Falls) is revisiting the classic tradition of Hollywood monster movies by focusing on natural beasts gone awry. Namely – bugs.
His new project from New Line Cinema, DEAD ASLEEP, focuses on a small town infested with critters that eat you from the inside out. No early word on how they get there in the first place. Dare we hope that the movie reaches the grandeur of
BUG! ? One can only hope, since admittedly, fire-breathing, man-eating, pressurized, giant cockroaches are tough to beat. Nevertheless, the project is still in its gestational stages, so there’s plenty of time to get it right. Hopefully in a year or two we can all scream in horror as another Bug Movie classic eats our brains like an earwig and makes us bleed delightedly from our faces.
