The Bunker: Chad Michael Collins joins Tony Todd, Tobin Bell horror film

Last Updated on August 10, 2021

Chad Michael Collins has battled werewolves in High Moon (get it HERE) and played with fat-sucking parasites in the Skincrawlers segment of Shudder's Creepshow series, and now he has signed on to deal with bioweapons and an alien invasion in director Brian Hanson's sci-fi horror film The Bunker. Collins has a lead role in The Bunker, which also stars his High Moon co-star Chelsea Edmundson and genre icons Tony Todd and Tobin Bell.

Hanson wrote the screenplay with Charles Bunce, telling a story that is set

during a mysterious alien invasion. A government scientist (Edmundson) is sealed in an underground bunker and must create a bioweapon to stop the mysterious travelers before they take over Earth.

Collins' character is Dr. Sam Ellis, "the lead scientist of a group of bioengineers who are locked in separate underground bunkers and tasked with creating a bioweapon to thwart a mysterious alien invasion."

In addition to the projects mentioned above, Collins has also starred in five films in the Sniper franchise, and is best known for his work in the Call of Duty video game franchise. He stars as Alex in Modern Warfare (30 million units sold), its Warzone counterpart (100 million players), and Call of Duty: Mobile (500 million downloads).

Hanson and Bunce are producing The Bunker with Kayli Fortun, Sharif Ibrahim, and Kelby Thwaits. The producers have teamed up with the genre consulting firm Blood Oath, who are co-producing. Blood Oath released the following statement:

We’ve been reading a mountain of scripts, and this one immediately leapt off the page as a fast paced, character driven story within a high concept none of us had seen before. It was the perfect fit for Blood Oath, and with legends Tony Todd and Tobin Bell starring, we believe it will also be a perfect fit for audiences."

I was sold on The Bunker as soon as I first heard about it back in May, but now the presence of Collins in the cast has me even more hyped to check it out.
