Darcy the Mail Girl said we could expect to see five special episodes of The Last Drive-In with Joe Bob Briggs show up on the Shudder streaming service between the end of season 3 and the beginning of season 4. Earlier this month, we got the first of those specials – Joe Bob’s Halloween Hoedown, where legendary movie host Joe Bob Briggs was joined by Halloween Kills director David Gordon Green and producer Jason Blum for screenings of Angel and Terror Train. Now the second special has been announced: it’s called The Last Drive-In: The Walking Dead, and it’s set to premiere next Friday, October 29th, on both Shudder and AMC+!

Join iconic horror host and foremost drive-in movie critic Joe Bob Briggs and special guest, The Walking Dead Executive Producer and Special Effects Make-up Supervisor/Designer, Greg Nicotero, as they watch the first two episodes of The Walking Dead, Season 1 and talk about the introduction and evolution of walkers, as well as iconic walkers from the series.

As the Twitter image embedded above says, The Last Drive-In: The Walking Dead will begin streaming on Shudder at 9pm Eastern on October 29th. It will be available to watch on demand on AMC+ at the same moment.

Fans are invited to join a live watch premiere night at 9pm ET via the Shudder TV feed and on demand on AMC+, using the hashtags #TheLastDriveIn and #TheWalkingDead.

I can’t say I ever expected to see Joe Bob host episodes of The Walking Dead on his show, but since Shudder is owned by the show’s home network of AMC, it does make sense that this would happen. I’ll take any Joe Bob I can get, whether he’s showing movies or TV episodes, and I’m sure his interview with Greg Nicotero is going to be a great one.
