A Man in Full: Diane Lane to star opposite Jeff Daniels in Netflix’s limited series

A Man in Full, Diane Lane, Jeff Daniels, Netflix, limited series

Diane Lane (Y: The Last ManJustice League) will star as the female lead opposite Jeff Daniels (Dumb and DumberThe Martian) for the Netflix limited series A Man in Full. The six-episode event from David E. Kelley and Regina King is based on Tom Wolfe‘s 1998 novel. The story focuses on Atlanta real estate mogul Charlie Croker (Daniels), who faces sudden bankruptcy. Now his political and business interests collide as Charlie defends his empire from those attempting to capitalize on his fall from grace.

As for Diane Lane, the legendary actress plays Martha Croker. Martha emerges from the shadow of her ex-husband (Daniels) while his real estate empire begins to crumble. Beware the dormant; Martha’s rebuild poses a personal and financial threat as three decades of marriage come with its baggage.

Oh, snap! It sounds like things could get dicey as Martha swoops down to pick Charlie’s corpse clean. Hell hath no fury as a woman scorned. Especially an ex looking to pick up the pieces of your shattered empire and run with them.

Kelley will write, executive produce, and showrun the series, with King directing three episodes and executive producing through her Royal Ties label. Matthew Tinker will also executive produce.

Lane remains a powerhouse of talent in Hollywood after four decades of delivering the goods. She’s a star on screens large and small, with some of her recent roles being for Y: The Last Man and House of Cards.

Are you interested in checking out A Man in Full on Netflix? It could be interesting to see Daniels as a man who loses everything and Lane as the woman who capitalizes on his failures. I’ve seen this scenario unfold in real-life more than once, and it’s not pretty. A Man in Full could introduce some great drama to the Netflix platform, which piqued my interest.
