Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves: New campaign explored in the new featurette

Choose your players as you take a journey with the elves and mages of the new fantasy adventure film, Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves. The upcoming movie will be the newest attempt at adapting the popular role-playing board game franchise into a feature film. The original attempt came about in 2000 with Justin Whalin, Thora Birch, Marlon Wayans, and a tour-de-force of a hammy performance by Academy Award-winner Jeremy Irons. The movie would spawn a couple of straight-to-video sequels.

A new featurette and poster have been unveiled from Paramount. The latest effort looks to revitalize the brand and reboot the franchise with stars like Chris Pine, Michelle Rodriguez, and Hugh Grant headlining the movie. The film is directed by the talents behind Spider-Man: Homecoming, Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley.

The official synopsis reads,
“A charming thief and a band of unlikely adventurers undertake an epic heist to retrieve a lost relic, but things go dangerously awry when they run afoul of the wrong people. Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves brings the rich world and playful spirit of the legendary roleplaying game to the big screen in a hilarious and action-packed adventure.”

Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves is written by directors Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley, along with Michael Gilio, who also gets a “Story by” credit with Chris McKay. Goldstein, Daley, and star Chris Pine are listed as Executive Producers, along with Denis L. Stewart, Zev Foreman, and Greg Mooradian. The producers of the film include Jeremy Latcham, p.g.a., Brian Goldner, and Nick Meyer.

Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves is due to hit theaters in March 2023.
