What to expect in the new season
“We’re so proud of this show, and we’re really proud of season four — and season five. We really think it’s our best season yet.” Rebecca Romijn said about the new season before adding, “There’s dinosaurs!” I share her excitement. Dinosaurs always make everything better.
“We explore a little about Kirk’s past and the demons that are haunting him,” said Paul Wesley, who also joked, “I’m just flattered that they’re premiering it on my birthday. Of course, that’s on purpose.”
“Season 4 is what I would call very pure Strange New Worlds,” Akiva Goldsman teased. “We move around in terms of tone, we move around in terms of genre, and then we drive it to the last six episodes, which is pretty singular.” As Goldsman mentioned, the fifth and final season, which has already wrapped production, will consist of just six episodes.
