Trailer for CBS All Access’ The Stand series spreads online!

So this is exciting! After many (many) false-starts, the epic post-apocalypse story THE STAND from Stephen King is now getting a new big-budget adaptation, this time as a limited series from director Josh Boone (THE NEW MUTANTS) on CBS All Access! Even better, we now have a trailer to see how it differs from the (admittedly impressive for the time) '90s miniseries! Check it out for yourself at the top of the article!

Here's the official synopsis:

An apocalyptic vision of a world decimated by plague and embroiled in an elemental struggle between good and evil. The fate of mankind rests on the frail shoulders of the 108-year-old Mother Abagail and a handful of survivors. Their worst nightmares are embodied by a man with a lethal smile and unspeakable powers: Randall Flagg, the nefarious 'Dark Man'!

Meanwhile, THE STAND – starring Whoopi Goldberg, Alexander Skarsgård, James Marsden, Odessa Young, and Jovan Adepo – will premiere on CBS All Access December 17th!

So what do you guys think? How do you think it stands up so far compared to the original novel and miniseries? Either way, sound off below!
