Slaxx: new trailer released for film about *checks notes* killer jeans!

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

So this sounds fun! From the producers of the awesome retro flick Turbo Kid comes a horror-comedy where the monsters are sentient, AI driven pairs of jeans. Really! You can see for yourself in the new trailer at the top of the article, and here's the official synopsis:

Slaxx tells the story of a possessed pair of jeans brought to life to punish the unscrupulous practices of a trendy clothing company. Shipped to the company’s flagship store, Slaxx proceeds to wreak carnage on the staff, locked in overnight to set up the new collection. When the body count mounts, the panicked staff disbands and the struggle for survival begins. It is up to idealistic employee Libby to uncover the reason behind Slaxx’s blood thirst before its evil is released into the world.

Personally, I'm totally down! I always love movies that swing for the fences with committing to bonkers concepts like this! Furthermore, it also seems to be poking fun at fashion and retail culture as well – rather than relying simply on the novelty of murderous, sentient jeans – meaning the film will hopefully have more teeth to it besides the ones on the jeans' zippers.

Meanwhile SLAXX – directed by Elza Kephart and starring Romane Denis, Brett Donahue, and Sehar Bhojani – will premiere as an Official Selection at the Fantasia Film Festival later this year.

So what do you guys think? And what other haunted piece of clothing would be the scariest to wear on you? Either way, sound off below!
