A convict is tormented by her cellmate in Blood Cell trailer

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

Today we've gotten our hands on a trailer for writer/director Daniel Sowter's BLOOD CELL, which made its debut in the UK last August. There doesn't appear to be any release date information available for this one yet, but we'll let you know when there is.

Starring Lucy-Jane Quinlan, David Cotter, Nicci Brighten, and Becca Hirani, BLOOD CELL tells the following story:

Barbara adjusts to her new life behind bars, her crimes start to haunt her. Her new cellmate Evelyn is about to start an obsessive and ghostly friendship with her, one that Barbara cannot escape from.

Sowter has said that he was drawing inspiration from films like SINGLE WHITE FEMALE, EYES WITHOUT A FACE, and the 1945 anthology DEAD OF NIGHT while crafting this film.

It looks quite strange and twisted, so I'm intrigued.
