A Cult from Brooks

I thoroghly enjoyed the fun monster-mash that was JACK BROOKS: MONSTER SLAYER and I’m pleased as a f*cking peach that a sequel is in the works. Now, it seems that the team behind JACK is moving on to yet another genre flick.

This one’s called CULT and it looks to be leaning less towards the comedy and more towards the horror. Director Jon Knautz (right) says, “It’s a straight horror this time, no comedy.” That’s fine by me. The team behind JACK is friggin’ creative as hell and I’d be cool with anything they decided to churn out. Take a look at CULT’s brief plot description:

The story finds group of young journalists who are investigating a cult known to practice human sacrifice. Their ambitious ways might make them victims to their study.

Yeah, yeah, I know that isn’t much at all, but the flick is only in its early stages. I’m sure we’ll be getting more details in the not-too-distant future. I’m willing to be patient and see what els Knautz reveals in the coming months. Hopefully you guys are willing as well.
