Not too long ago I hit you all with the impressive trailer for the RED RIDING TRILOGY and just yesterday our man Jake D slapped you all with a nifty behind the scenes video for the trio of films. Well guess what?! Today I’ve got even more RED RIDING goods for you!
IFC Films recently made three brand new trailers available for the RED RIDING TRILOGY, one for each film. Each trailer runs for approximately a minute and features the same impressive style and tone the TRILOGY’s trailer had. You can find all three of those trailers in the JoBlo Videos section or below. Along with the three trailers we’ve also got a host of new stills from the RED RIDING TRILOGY. Those can all be enjoyed below as well, split into their respective films.
The first film, RED RIDING: 1974, comes from director Julian Jarrold and stars Andrew Garfield. RED RIDING – 1974 (Directed by Julian Jarrold) centers on a rookie journalist, Eddie Dunford (Andrew Garfield), whose investigation of a series of child abductions and murders leads him to suspect that there’s a terrifying connection between the perpetrators and the upper echelons of Yorkshire power. (105 min.)
Next up we’ve got RED RIDING: 1980, which comes from director James Marsh and stars Paddy Considine. RED RIDING – 1980 (Directed by James Marsh) finds the police and the public still baffled that the “Ripper” remains at large and may have inspired a copycat killer. A veteran police officer, Peter Hunter (Paddy Considine), is called in from Manchester to take over the investigation, but his new theories about the case only incite growing opposition to his involvement. (96 min.)
And lastly, RED RIDING: 1983 is directed by Anand Tucker and stars David Morrissey and Mark Addy. RED RIDING – 1983 (Directed by Anand Tucker) starts with the kidnapping of another young girl. Detective Maurice Jobson (David Morrissey) notices a number of powerful similarities to the abduction cases he had investigated back in the ’70s–and for which a man was convicted and sentenced. Meanwhile, a reluctant local solicitor, John Piggott (Mark Addy), decides to take up the condemned man’s cause. (104 min.)
The RED RIDING TRILOGY will hit On Demand starting February 3rd (I’m there!) followed by limited releases in New York (Feb. 5th) and Los Angeles (Feb. 12th). So we’ve got one week to wait to check this bad boy out! In the meantime be sure to enjoy the stills and trailers below!
