A Quiet Place Part II trailer and featurette promise an ambitious sequel

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

We're less than one month out from the release of director John Krasinksi's follow-up to his 2018 hit A QUIET PLACE, and if the previews that have been released so far haven't won you over yet a new trailer has now arrived online and can be seen above. It's a short one, so we've put some of the other ads in the video with it.

Embedded below is a featurette in which Krasinski and the cast remind us what the first movie was all about and then hype up the sequel. The movie is described as "a runaway train", and is said to be "more ambitious" than its predecessor.

A QUIET PLACE PART II has the following synopsis:

Following the deadly events at home, the Abbott family must now face the terrors of the outside world as they continue their fight survival in silence. Forced to venture into the unknown, they quickly realize that the creatures that hunt by sound are not the only threats that lurk beyond the sand path.

Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmonds, and Noah Jupe reprise their roles from the first film, and Krasinksi also makes an appearance. Venturing out into the world, the surviving characters will be crossing paths with new cast members Cillian Murphy and Djimon Hounsou.

Krasinski produced A QUIET PLACE PART II with Michael Bay, Andrew Form, and Brad Fuller. Allyson Seeger, Joann Perritano, and Aaron Janus served as executive producers.

The film is set to reach theatres, Dolby Cinema, and IMAX on March 20th.

I liked A QUIET PLACE quite a bit, so I'm looking forward to returning to that world when PART II comes out.
