New stills have been released from the two Jack movies: JACK REACHER AND JACK RYAN. I really hope they don’t just title the film “JACK RYAN”. The plot on this one parallels modern day issues. Here it is: Chris Pine stars Jack Ryan, “as pre-CIA financial analyst who discovers his boss (Branagh) is going to do the most evil thing possible — try to disrupt the American economy.”
There’s a plot to f*ck shit up from Branagh’s character. You’ll watch it because a.) you’re curious about Pine as Ryan and b.) it has Keira Knightley and Kevin Costner.
JACK REACHER is also another novel adaptation, this one from Lee Child. Tom Cruise takes the reins on this one as, “homicide investigator digs deeper into a case involving a trained military sniper who shot five random victims.” I’ve heard great things about the Reacher series. The first trailer for it looked pretty good. It’s nice to hear that Christopher McQuarrie was the one who adapted the original material. Bonus: Werner Herzog is the baddie. Someone gets a cookie for that one.
