A tame Terminator?

JoBloJoBlo

Having a PG-13 DIE HARD movie was bad enough and now it looks like we’ll have to sit through a PG-13 TERMINATOR. Production company Halcyon confirmed to Variety that they aim to deliver a PG-13 movie to Warner Bros. and by “aim to deliver” they mean that “Warner Bros. told us to make a PG-13 movie otherwise they wouldn’t touch it with a 10-ft. pole.” In fact Halcyon head Derek Anderson says he never even discussed the possibility of a R-rated TERMINATOR with Warner Bros. Halcyon believes that they can “broaden” the film’s audience without compromising the film’s “gritty vision.” But really, are teenagers the target audience for a TERMINATOR movie? In the end though it’s all about money and things like a mass-market toy deal with Plamates Toys (finally you can have your Christian Bale Batman fight your Christian Bale John Connor!). In addition to Bale, the film stars Sam Worthington, Moon Bloodgood and Anton Yelchin. Filming on TERMINATOR SALVATION begins today in Los Angeles.
