Last Updated on July 30, 2021

Deadline reports that filmmaker Jeff Nichols (MIDNIGHT SPECIAL) is going to write and direct a third A QUIET PLACE film, from an idea by the writer/director of the first two films, John Krasinski (who also starred in the first film).

Unfortunately, the plot is still currently under wraps, and there's no official start or release date as of yet, but we'll keep you posted! Meanwhile, A QUIET PLACE 2 is now currently scheduled to sneak into theaters April 23rd, 2021. Here's the official synopsis:

Following the deadly events at home, the Abbott family (Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmonds, Noah Jupe) must now face the terrors of the outside world as they continue their fight for survival in silence. Forced to venture into the unknown, they quickly realize that the creatures that hunt by sound are not the only threats that lurk beyond the sand path.

So what do you guys think? Fans of A QUIET PLACE? If so, what're your feelings on a new director taking on the franchise? Either way, sound off below!
