A villainous new poster for Fantastic Beasts 2 warns of Grindelwald’s reign

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

Today, Warner Bros. has treated muggles to a new and villainous poster for FANTASTIC BEASTS: THE CRIMES OF GRINDELWALD. For the new art, Johnny Depp's odious Grindelwald stands before key members of the Ministry of Magic, wand in hand and ever ready to unleash chaos on a wizarding world already in peril.

When the newest chapter of J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter spinoff apparates into theaters, the tale will involve magizoologist Newt Scamander's (Eddie Redmayne) latest attempt to foil the insidious plans of Gellert Grindelwald, a half-blood wizard considered to be one of the most dangerous and powerful Dark Wizards of all time. As a former student of the Durmstrang Institute, Grindelwald was expelled for carrying out perverted experiments while wielding dark magic. He was also found guilty of attacking fellow students with near-fatal spells, branding him once and for all as an enemy to those in the wizarding community who use their magic for the betterment of both muggle and wizard kind alike. To combat the crimes of Grindelwald, Albus Dumbledore (Jude Law) enlists his former student Newt Scamander, who agrees to help, unaware of the dangers that lie ahead. Lines are drawn as love and loyalty are tested, even among the truest friends and family, in an increasingly divided wizarding world.
