A War in Heaven is comin’!

With 300 kickin ass all around the world, it’s not surprising that studios and publishers alike are looking to find the best way to capitalize on its success. IESB.net is reporting on a very promising-sounding concept in the works, WAR IN HEAVEN, which is based on an upcoming comic-book series.

WiH (as it will from now on be known) will basically be 300 in freakin’ Heaven, as Lucifer goes to war against his fellow angels! Several comic-book publishers, DC Comics included, and several studios (I gotta believe Warner Bros. included) are gonna hack each other’s arms off trying to buy the rights to the sure-to-be-controversial property.

This will most likely be developed very fast, so you can expect to hear tons of actors, producers, directors and writers’s names bandied about.

(As it were, there’s a SOUTH PARK episode where Heaven and Hell go to war, but we’re never allowed to see the battle. We’re assured, however, that it’s “ten times bigger” than the one in RETURN OF THE KING. I’m guessing WiH’s eventual producers would like to think the same thing about their angel-on-angel smackdown.)
