Abigail Breslin joins Halle Berry in Brad Anderson’s thriller The Hive

Abigail BreslinBrad Anderson has had a decent track record of work so far, with both his THE MACHINIST and TRANSSIBERIAN being extremely good indeed.  In the time since his somewhat questionable effort VANISHING ON 7TH STREET Anderson has been spending his energy and time doing stints on quite a wide range of TV shows (“Treme,” “The Killing,” “Fringe,” “Boardwalk Empire,” and “Alcatraz”), but is now set to return to the big screen accompanied by Halle Berry and Abigail Breslin.  The two actresses recently worked together on NEW YEAR’S EVE, though maybe it’d be best to forget that and pretend they’ve never met.  Said Anderson of Breslin’s presence: “Abigail is always wonderful playing vulnerable characters so I feel really lucky to have her for this role.”

THE HIVE is a thriller from Rich D’Ovidio (THIR13EN GHOSTS) which focuses “on a female emergency line operator (Berry) who, in trying to help a young girl (Breslin), comes up against a killer from her own past.”  Production is scheduled to start towards the end of June in Los Angeles.
