Get a load of those TV spots we sprang on you this morning? Either way, the marketing onslaught for Chris Gorak’s THE DARKEST HOUR is underway…it was only a couple of hours ago I saw newly erected billboard for the flick here in L.A.

Now what do we have? A quartet of warning sign promo posters: three quads and a one-sheet. In a campaign I want to credit DISTRICT 9 with originating, you’ll notice there isn’t a single mention of the film’s title in the posters. Even so, how funny is that last one with the ass-end of a dog being utterly disintegrated? Good shite!

THE DARKEST HOUR follows five young people who find themselves stranded in Moscow, fighting to survive in the wake of a devastating alien attack. The 3D action-thriller highlights classic beauty of Moscow alongside mind-blowing special effects from the minds of visionary filmmaker Timur Bekmambetov (WANTED, NIGHT WATCH) and director Chris Gorak.

Unwrapping Christmas Day – Emile Hirsch, Olivia Thirlby, Max Minghella and Rachael Taylor (below) star are the primary players.
